Help Needed

My lady's daddy has cancer. It has spread throughout his lymphatic system, which means that it pretty much covers his insides from top to bottom. He's a Loner, which means that he's putting a good face on it, but he's not infallible. My Loner is scared. It's a bit unsettling, to see someone who has fought through so much on her own finally looking scared. I guess it's kind of like the first time a child realizes that Mommy and Daddy don't know everything, or aren't perfect. Her Dad has been such a great support for her over the years, and for the first time he needs it to come back the other way.

To anyone out there who stumbles across this blog, I have one request: please pray for Loner. She's a good Catholic, but I personally don't care if you pray to Krishna, Buddha, Allah, Yahweh, Helion, Mithras or your stones of power. Say a prayer for her to have strength when she needs it, and for me to have strength when she does not. Pray for her father, to come through this in the best way possible, whatever that may be. Pray for her mother, who has never had to be strong for someone before.

You have my thanks.

Hi...I'm quite young...but my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on November 17 of 2003. I can understand the situation, and you definately have my prayer. Cancer is a very scary thing...not only for the victim, but for the victim's family and friends. Good luck with everything throughout the process of this hard time.

You all are always in my prayers. It will turn out for the best, my friend. I send my prayers and love; as usual.
